Founded in 2012 in Athens, Greece, Dreadbox is a boutique company of passionate engineers, musicians, and programmers dedicated to crafting high-quality, affordable, and easy-to-use synthesizers with a distinct, warm analog sound. What started as a small family business rooted in DIY synth culture has grown into a globally recognised brand while maintaining its hands-on, personalised approach to music equipment manufacturing.

Dreadbox pioneered semi-modular synthesizers, offering musicians greater flexibility and creative freedom. Our product line often features limited-edition synths designed for niche audiences, striking a balance between accessibility and artistic expression. Every instrument and effects pedal is hand-assembled with care, blending innovation with a deep passion for sound design.

Driven by a commitment to sustainability, experimentation, and the DIY ethos, Dreadbox continues to create music gear that inspires both hobbyists and professional artists alike.
